RAKSHAK FOUNDATION
Rakshak Foundation is an award winning voluntary organization, based in Kolkata, West Bengal, India. It is the CSR division of Rakshak Subidha Pvt. Ltd., involved in humanitarian and charitable activities for over 25 years. Since 2016, Rakshak Foundation has adopted a focused vision of 'Jute for Climate Action' through its flagship project 'Jute Story Beyond Bars'.
A signatory member of United Nations Global Compact, Network India and Women's Empowerment Principles, founded by UNGC and UN Women, the foundation undertakes various humanitarian and charitable activities, aligned with the UNSGDs, impacting over touching 5 lakh lives with an outreach of more 20 million across the globe.
Vision
The foundation strives to enter the decade of action, with a vision to revive eco-friendly jute and reform prison inmates through responsible skill and livelihood development for a greener, healthier and inclusive world aligned with the UNSDGs 2030.
Founder Trustee
Jaydip Das, Director & CEO, Rakshak Subidha Pvt. Ltd. is the Founding Trustee of the Rakshak Foundation Trust. An entrepreneur, philanthropist, he is on board of verious organization.
Founder, Chairperson & Managing Trustee
Chaitali Das, is the Chairperson and Managing Trustee of Rakshak Foundaiton Trust. She is the 'Jute Revivalist' due to her monumental work in revival of Jute, a social entrepreneur who works relentlessly for reformation of prison inmates and their inclusion in the mainstream society and an ardent advocate of Women Empowerment and Gender Equality.
Organization Structure
Rakshak Foundation is headed by Founding Trustee, Sri Jaydip Das, advised by a robust Board of Advisors of highly qualified and experienced experts. The foundation is ably managed by its Managing Trustee and Global Chairperson Smt Chaitali Das with her core council of Committee Chairs for various sectors. Rakshak Foundation have established various chapters in India, West Bengal, Orissa, Assam, Gujrat, Delhi, Rakshak Foundation are in the process of incorporating more chapters pan India as Rakshak Foundation operations expand. Our international chapters include UK, Scotland, Canada and SriLanka, Rakshak Foundation are expanding globally as well. Rakshak Foundation have recently installed Ms. Peru Universe, Ms. Pierangeli Dodero Jovich as our Rakshak Universe Goodwill Ambassador.

Rakshak Young Leaders' Forum
Many prestigious educational institutions like Delhi School of Economics, Indian Institute of Crafts and Design, Jadavpur University, BBIT and such have entrusted us with their interns. Rakshak Young Leaders Forum has been established to mentor our alumnus interns to create the nex-gen leaders who will carry this mantle of humanitarian service and goodwill ahead.
